Where has the time gone? Believe it or not, I have been capturing images all year long with the intentions of creating posts for you. Then life happened and instead I posted things randomly on your Facebook or through message on the phone. Thinking the whole time, wouldn’t that be great to share on the blog? So, here I am now and I would love to share some things with you that I saw this year in Japan. I hope you like them, 12 pictures to begin 2012!
xoxo, j.

Happy New Year Friends!

I have a thing for bracelets and I will gladly take 10 of these…for both arms. Yes, Puhlease!

I am more than a little behind on blogging, but I had to share part of my gift to Ryan for Fathers Day yesterday. I’m learning how to make and edit home videos, which is something I always wish I’d had growing up. Although it’s truly for Ryan, it’s also a little for Nixon, too. I can only hope that someday she understands how blessed she is to have such a wonderful papa in her life. I know I am beyond blessed to have such a wonderful hubs.

As some of you know we headed south, very south. We made our way to Okinawa, an island compared to Hawaii that rests south of Japan. Of all the places in all of the world that one would evacuate to this has to be the best choice. I have always lusted after island life. The easy going fashions, sea side cafes, breezey air…seriously, I could keep going. It was aserious reason that tok us to Okinawa, but we left feeling just as refreshed as if we had taken a vacation! Have you ever had to leave your home unexpectedly?

Little feet, big world. #adventuresofellachan.

Ok, true hipsters/bikies are probably gonna hate me for this, but how can you not love CB2′s (yeah, random right?) abuela 3-speed women’s bike?!
High style gray/yellow (and red!) color scheme: check. Sweet, retro bike bell: check. Kick stand (because we’re 12): check. And a skirt guard: holy, why don’t I have that on my bike now, check!
On top of all this cuteness, just imagine riding this bike with a cute, little bambina being pulled in a carrier in the back.

Hello all. I can’t really think to post about anything else at the moment. Our home was not effected by the earthquake and tsunami, but our hearts were. Please reach out to help in any way you can. Along with all of the big organizations gathering funds you can find many independent artists joining the cause. Support art! Support Japan! Support human kind!
I will be slow on posts in the next week or so. My apologies.

Wear it: I am slightly excited to purchase this maxi skirt with the intentions of the next across the world flight.
Live it: I want to go to there. I don’t remember exactly where Liz Lemon wanted to go so badly, but I like to think it was this amazing loft.
Eat it: One of these days I WILL make a warm-hearted breakfast like this.
